The Polynet PN-FR600B is a 600W portable foldable solar panel: HPBC cells in a sewn ETFE/PVDF blanket delivering 600 W at 36.0 V Vmp and 16.7 A Imp, unfolding to 3375 × 1195 × 25 mm, folding to 600 × 615 × 80 mm and weighing 13 kg.
The 600W model is the largest in the series, and its datasheet publishes both STC and NMOT columns. Specify it when the daily load leaves too little margin on the 500 W; bank capacity is usually the limiting factor on overcast days.
Product Overview
The PN-FR600B is part of the Polynet sewn foldable solar panel series, which shares one HPBC cell platform, ETFE/PVDF encapsulation and sewn construction across the 400 W, 500 W and 600 W ratings. Polynet Solar Solutions is the solar business line of Hefei Polynet Products Co., Ltd., supplying customized solar panels and integrated solar energy solutions to B2B buyers.
Folded, the PN-FR600B measures 600 × 615 × 80 mm and weighs 13 kg; open, 3375 × 1195 × 25 mm. It folds along the hinge lines between laminated panel sections into a soft case for transport, and the output lead leaves the panel on the end section with the termination set by the order.

Sizing a 600W Array for Multi-Day Loads
600W is specified where the daily energy budget is fixed by the load rather than by the panel. The table below shows where the rating earns its weight.
Situation | What the 600W rating changes |
Base camp with a compressor fridge | The 100 W higher STC rating gives more margin for a fridge duty cycle on days when irradiance drops. Confirm the match against your own load profile and bank; the panel rating alone does not fix how many overcast days the system covers. |
Expedition vehicle with roof-rack stowage | Folds to 600 × 615 × 80 mm so it can ride on a rack while the vehicle is driven, then deploy on the ground at camp. |
Remote instrument and temporary sites | The highest output in the family for sites where a rigid frame cannot be transported. |
Distributor range flagship | Offers the highest power rating in one construction family, so a reseller can step customers up without changing supplier. |
600W Against the Rest of the Series
The three ratings share one construction family; the decision usually comes down to packed envelope and daily energy budget rather than to cell technology.
Model | Folded size | Weight | Electrical | Choose it when |
PN-FR400B | 610 × 600 × 40 mm | 8.1 kg | 18 V or 36 V build | one person carries it |
PN-FR500B | 600 × 610 × 65 mm | 10.6 kg | 18 V or 36 V build | motorhome touring loads |
PN-FR600B | 600 × 615 × 80 mm | 13 kg | 36 V | multi-day loads, NMOT published |
Controller and Bank Sizing
A 600W array is usually specified for a fixed daily load, so the error that costs real money here is under-sizing the controller on the battery side rather than the PV side.
Sizing check | 600W value and what to do with it |
PV input voltage | Voc is 45.0 V at STC and rises as cells cool. The controller's maximum PV input must clear the cold-condition Voc, not the 25 °C figure. |
PV-side current | Isc is 17.7 A. PV conductors and connectors are normally sized at 1.25 x Isc, so plan for a minimum 22.1 A rating on the array side. The standard build already uses a 30 A Anderson port and a 4.0 mm2 lead, which covers that margin. This is separate from the 20 A maximum series fuse rating, which is the module fuse limit, not a conductor rating. |
Battery-side charge current | MPPT controllers are rated on output current. Allowing about 95% conversion at 13.5 V / 27 V, 600 W gives roughly 42 A into a 12 V bank and 21 A into a 24 V bank. Size the controller on that figure, then confirm against its datasheet. |
Array fuse | The 20 A maximum series fuse rating is the fuse limit for the module, not a controller rating and not a substitute for the battery-side calculation above. |
Handling Details
The 600W build is the heaviest in the family, so the handling hardware matters as much as the cell count. Four features matter on a case this size.
Part | What it does |
Rear bracket | Supports the panel at a working angle; set the angle before connecting. |
Rubber-wrapped handle | Carries the folded case; at 13 kg, plan for two people or short solo carries. |
Hanging hole | Eyelet for tying the panel off when the ground is wet, steep or covered. |
Zippered cable bag | Keeps the lead and adapters with the panel instead of loose in the vehicle. |
B2B Supply and Customization
The PN-FR600B is designed for distributors, importers, fleet buyers and system integrators. OEM/ODM and private-label programs are available, and the build is configured to the order rather than fixed to one catalogue variant.
Topic | What applies to this model |
OEM / ODM and private label | Supported for connector, cable length and packaging; quoted per project. |
Configuration at order | Confirm connector termination and cable length when ordering. |
Documentation | PN-FR600B datasheet values are as published; documentation requirements are confirmed at quotation. |
Series leverage | One construction family across 400 W, 500 W and 600 W lets a distributor cover three power tiers. |
Packing and Freight Notes
The panel ships folded with its integral handle. Carton contents, quantity and freight data are confirmed with the quotation, because they vary with the connector and cable build ordered.
Item | Note |

Technical FAQ
What is the difference between STC and NMOT on this panel?
STC is the 1000 W/m², 25 °C laboratory rating that produces the 600 W nameplate. NMOT is the 800 W/m², 20 °C ambient, 1 m/s wind rating that produces 478 W. Field output moves with irradiance, cell temperature and tilt, so use the NMOT column when you size the bank.
Can the 600W panel charge a 12V battery?
Yes, through an MPPT controller, not directly. The panel is 36 V Vmp with a 45.0 V Voc and 17.7 A Isc (16.7 A Imp) on the PV side. Allowing about 95% conversion at 13.5 V / 27 V, the controller must handle roughly 42 A of charge current into a 12 V bank or 21 A into a 24 V bank. A controller whose output rating sits near 20 A would cap the 12 V output far below 600 W.
Is this the same construction as the 400W and 500W models?
Yes. All three share the HPBC cell platform, ETFE/PVDF encapsulation and sewn foldable construction. The differences are array length, folded thickness and weight, plus the single 36 V configuration on this model against the two configurations offered on the 400W and 500W.
How much does it weigh and what envelope does it need?
13 kg folded into 600 × 615 × 80 mm. Measure your stowage against that envelope rather than against the unfolded footprint.
What happens with certification and warranty terms?
